So, in the mornings, a friend of mine likes to chat online to catch up and talk about our upcoming day--but on occasion, I'm not always on there right away. Needless to say, she is NOT happy when this happens and that's when the e-stalking starts...
Check out the message I had waiting for me in my inbox last week when I finally logged on:
Gchat is an instant messaging service provided by Google, the company slowly (but surely) taking over all facets of modern life, including (but not limited to): technological communication, public holidays, news and your very soul.
Please chat with Kate or she will be forced to take radical action, like pick up a phone or (gasp) see you in person.
With thanks,
Your Google companions
I post this to warn all of you out there of the possible consequences of not being available to your friends online. Google sees you when you're sleeping (what do you think the webcam is really for?), it knows when you're awake, it knows if you've logged on or not, so you better get your butt in front of a computer (or phone) and press the available button. Trust me, there's no telling what could happen if you don't.
Happy typing!
5x5,
B.
